Last week we had a very surprising and very intense hailstorm. In some places we had at least golf ball size pellets. At the church building we took plenty of pictures of all the hail and looked around the building. We found some water getting into the building and had to mop it up. Sandra had asked if there is a sermon in this somewhere? Well at least there is a blog.

One of the things that the weather forecasters did was apologize for not being on top of the storm. The late Rich Mullins wrote a song many years ago called "Ready for the Storm." It talks about our preparedness for the unexpected not only at sea, but also in life. We may not have known it was coming yet we have to be prepared and have to deal with the aftermath. God has not promised us all sunny days nor has God promised us that there will never be any storms in life. Occasionally we will have to mop up after ourselves and others. The question we must always ask ourselves is, are we willing to pick up the mop and do what is necessary?
